Ballet Technic Workshop with Ms. Anne Dyer, ARAD, RAD RTS

Ballet Technic Workshop with Ms. Anne Dyer, ARAD, RAD RTS

This workshop was held in RAFA International Dance School on Sunday 15, January 2017. It was an amazing workshop conducted by Ms. Anne Dyer, ARAD, RAD RTS, Cert 1V in Assessment and Training (Dancestar Australia).

Anne Dyer has had an amazing career as an accomplished ballet dancer and teacher. After studying the R.A.D. Syllabi and Solo Seal, she spent 9 months at the Covent Garden Dance Centre, (now called Pineapple Studios) London, polishing  her technique. Furthermore, she then spent 11 years as a professional ballet dancer in Belgium and France. She has taught at Brent St,  NAISDA (National Aboriginal Islander Dance Assoc) and also Dancenter HCM Vietnam  to name a few schools.

Despite the dancer’s life, she is an RAD mentor to new teachers embarking upon a  career in  teaching the art of Ballet. And she is the founder and principal of Dance Star and after more than 34 years of teaching she continues to pass on her knowledge and love of dance to her students.

In this workshop, she shared a lot of ballet technic knowledge to all the students and teachers. From how to develop your legs strength up to correct technic in wearing and dancing on your pointe shoes. All in all, this workshop was full house, a lot of positive energy were shared and everybody was very happy with her teaching.

Thank you Ms. Anne for sharing your passion and experience in dancing and teaching with us! Hope to see you soon!
